THANKSGIVING EVE WORSHIP

Come to Prince of Peace Church
TONIGHT
Be part of the "Taize Service of Thanksgiving"
We have so much to be thankful for and we should celebrate together.
To end our service tonight, we will place our offering of both food for CEAP and money up at the altar.

Following the service we will gather in the Welcome Center to make 1000 sandwiches for Love One Another (formerly 363 Days) and share in fellowship with pie.  If you can, bring a pie to share, but if you can't bring a pie, come anyway - there is always enough.

The church building (and office) will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Plan on being in church on Sunday as we celebrate the First Sunday in Advent.  The Holle and Ping Familes will light the candle Hope on the Advent Wreath.

Advent is an exciting time of preparation and waiting for the gift of God's only son, the baby Jesus Christ.

QUILTING NEWS
Mark your calendars!
The Prince of Peace Quilter's annual quilt sale is
Sunday, December 4 and 11
8:30 am - 11:00 am

Come early for best selection!  Proceeds from the quilt sale are used to buy batting and supplies for quilts that are made and donated to the VA hospital, Salvation Army, Avenues for Youth, Sharing & Caring Hands, Red Cross, 2 women's shelters and the homeless.  This year the Quilters were able to donate money to buy fabric in Jamaica in support of a group of POP women who go in September to teach Jamaican women how to sew.

Many THANKS to all who have donated cotton or cotton/polyester fabric or sheets to our group throughout this past year! These are used to make the quilt tops or quilt backing. Even sheets that aren't perfect (e.g., bad spots or tears), we often can still use part of it to make quilt-top squares.
We hope to see you at the quilt sale on December 4 & 11!
If you're interested in more information contact
Jo Anderle 763-566-1570 or Carolyn Parker 763-427-1612.

The CEAP Toy Drive is UNDERWAY!

Located in the Welcome Center is our CEAP Gift Tree that is loaded with ornaments.  We encourage the entire congregation to help us collect all of the gifts listed on that tree!   xmas-ornaments.jpg

How to participate in the toy drive:
1)   Grab an ornament off the tree by December 7th
2)   Buy the gift that is listed on the ornament
3)   Return the gift (UNWRAPPED) by Sunday, December 11th
4)   Rejoice in the fact that you have helped make Christmas special for someone in need.

The ornaments are simply suggestions, and all NEW gifts will be accepted.  You can use the ornament as a reminder of the joy that you helped spread this Holiday Season!  CEAP has always been grateful for the support that Prince of Peace has given them, and we hope to continue that support through our TOY Drive this year

WELCOME TO PRINCE OF PEACE

Welcome To Prince of Peace!

Check out our   welcome video! This professionally produced video will give visitors to our website a glimpse of what we are all about at Prince of Peace. The video can also serve as a fantastic way to invite others to Prince of Peace. We bet that you know at least three people who are not active members in a local congregation. Take a moment and send them a quick email with the link to this video. We also encourage you to share the video on your own Facebook page. It is an easy and effective way to let folks know about the wonderful outreach and ministry happening at your church and to let them know that they are invited!
