Princeton ISD parents,
The district has learned that a former Lacy Elementary paraprofessional has been arrested following an investigation by the Collin County Sheriff's Office and the Child Advocacy Center.
The district was notified by law enforcement officers of an allegation of inappropriate touching of a student in April of 2015. The employee was immediately placed on leave and subsequently resigned the position in June of 2015.
Law enforcement authorities have indicated there are no additional victims at this time.
As always, the health and safety of our students are our top priorities. When allegations such as this arise, the district immediately suspends the individual. Parents are notified when an arrest takes place, which is typically a much shorter time frame than in this case, which involved a five-month investigation before the grand jury issued a warrant. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 469-952-5400, ext. 3503.
Sincerely,
Philip Anthony
Superintendent of Schools
