BioVision is very excited to introduce two new products: the Hi-BindTM Protein A Agarose and the Hi-BindTM Protein G Agarose. These two genetically engineered proteins contain only the IgG binding regions and have 6X His-tag on their N-terminus. Other non-specific domains have been eliminated to ensure the maximum specific IgG binding. These unique, high quality recombinant Proteins are produced in E. coli, and purified using multiple chromatographic steps (not affinity purified with human IgG). Purity is > 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin level is < 0.05 EU/mg of Protein. These proteins bind to most mammalian immunoglobulins in their Fc binding domains and therefore are ideal for purification of polyclonal or monoclonal IgG antibodies.
Hi-BindTM Protein A-Agarose (Cat # 6520-1, -5, -25, -100): Protein A-Agarose is prepared by covalently coupling recombinant Protein A (Cat # 6500-10) to 6% cross-linked agarose beads. The coupling technique is optimized to give a high binding capacity for IgG. The capacity of IgG binding could be greater than 30 mg of rabbit IgG per ml of wet gel. It is supplied as a 50% slurry in 20 % Ethanol/H2O.

- Purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.
- It binds to most human and mouse IgG subclasses (e.g., human IgG1, IgG2, IgG4; mouse IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3).
- It also binds to total IgG from cow, guinea pig, hamster, horse, pig, and rabbit.
- It has little affinity to chicken, goat, rat and sheep.
Hi-BindTM Protein G-Agarose (Cat # 6513-1, -5, -25, -100): Protein G-Agarose is prepared by covalently coupling recombinant Protein G (Cat # 6510-10) to 6% cross-linked agarose beads. The coupling technique is optimized to give a high binding capacity for IgG. The capacity of IgG binding could be greater than 30 mg of rabbit IgG per ml of wet gel. It is supplied as a 50% slurry in 20 % Ethanol/H2O.
