,

The new year has us looking forward to a summer full of programs old and new. June will see the return of our Academic Retreat for Teachers in New York (June 19-22) and our Spirit and Craft of Teaching program at Aquinas College in Nashville (June 26-30). In July we will offer our first regional Catholic Classical Schools Conference in Denver (July 5-7) as well as our fifth annual national Catholic Classical Schools Conference at Neumann University in Philadelphia (July 24-27). Registration for all these programs will open February 6.

I want to highlight two brand new programs we are offering particularly aimed at school leaders. March 23-25, Mary Pat Donoghue, the Institute's Director of School Services, will partner with St. Jerome Academy in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, to present a School Leaders Forum  . Headmasters and Principals will have the great opportunity to learn not only from the Institute but also from the Catholic classical school that has become a model for many schools around the country. Participants will spend Friday visiting classes and benefiting from the experience of SJA teachers and administrators, and Saturday being informed and inspired by Mary Pat and Danny Flynn, SJA Principal.

Our second new program is very special, and just the thing for deepening the commitment of your board members, major donors, heads of school and veteran teachers. They can join Dr. Michael Aeschliman (Boston University, The Erasmus Institute, National Review), Dr. Jeffrey Lehman (Hillsdale College, The Arts of Liberty Project), and Institute staff for a wonderful week in Florence, Italy  . The Tuscany Classical Education Symposium (August 5-12) will experience the blessings of classical education through talks, conversations, tours, and great cuisine at the Capitagno estate in the Tuscan hills just outside Florence.  Participants will return stunned by the beauty the Catholic classical world offers and enthusiastic to share its riches with your school community.
