We are very proud of our borrowers who completed our loan program in 2015.  The below participants received loans in 2013.   All of you work very hard toward fulfilling this debt and we wanted to acknowledge you and wish you the best in the future.

Jorge used his Project Prosper loan to purchase a vehicle which enabled him to take on a 2nd job and save enough money to bring his wife from Cuba to the United the States.

Project Prosper approved Sandra's loan for new furniture.  However, with the help of her mentors she was able to successfully purchase her first home in America.  Congrats Sandra!

Lucila
Lucila came to Project Prosper to borrow money to help pay for citizenship costs.  She successfully became a United States Citizen in 2014.

Fernando learned about our loan program by successfully completing one of our financial literacy classes at P.R.E.P.  He used his loan to purchase a vehicle which enabled him to find a better paying job.
                                                                          
Esteban and Maritza
Esteban and Maritza were esteemed professionals in Cuba. Esteban a businessman and Maritza a cardiologist. Starting life over, they came to Project Prosper to borrow money in order to help pay for their permanent residency costs.  They both became Permanent Residents of the United States in 2014. Congratulations!

Yair
Yair hit the ground running when he came to the United States.  An ER doctor in Cuba, he was used to the fast pace of life.  He enrolled in school in the U.S. and became a certified medical assistant, worked two jobs at one time, and is now well on his way to becoming a ....  Project Propser was happy to lend Yair our no interest loan to help him pay for his Permenant Residency costs.  You may have seen Yair on My Fox Tampa Bay News last year as they highlighted Project Prosper.

Alyaa
Alyaa came to Project Prosper through our community partner Lutheran Services of Florida.  She borrowed money in order to pay for the family's car repair.  During her loan term she welcomed a new baby, and to quote Alyaa, "We're doing Good"!

Anay
Anay desired more for her professional career so she decided to go back to school.  Project Prosper was able to lend her the money so that she could purchase a new computer to help her with her Hillsborough Community College classes. Today, Anay is a proud owner of a new home, passed her level six English classes and has now applied for her U.S. Citizenship.
Pedro
Pedro comes from a tight knit family.  His brother Luis successfully borrowed money from Project Prosper so Pedro learned about us by observation.  He borrowed money to purchase a car.  Now two years later, Pedro is looking forward to starting classes at St. Petersburg College in the area of Computer Programming.  We wish him all the best!

Gabriel
Gabriel made the decision to make his new life in the U.S. a success story.  When we met Gabriel he had to bring an English interpreter to the meeting  to help him communicate in English.  Less than 2 years later, Gabriel is very proficient in the English language.  He also decided to work hard and pay off his Project Prosper loan 4 months early.  His loan was used to help pay for his permanent residency costs.  Welcome Home Gabriel!
