Promotion and Graduation

Our young lady in the middle is enjoying her 8th grade promotion! She is joined by the ladies of Main Place Youth, Inc. Rev Valerie Wolff, Christian Development Coordinator  and Executive Director Laura Hall

One of our ladies from MPY graduated from Kingman High School and has been accepted to Friends University. We are very proud!
Rev, Valerie Wolff and former Teaching Parent Jennifer Connell provided support for another one of our graduates from Kingman High School.

 Dear Friend,

We Celebrate many small wins at Main Place Youth every month, but the bottom line-the reason this ministry exists and the reason you partner with us-is transformed lives and restored families. Lately we've had more than usual BIG wins to celebrate.

  • Our young lady from Mississippi graduated both Kingman High School and from our program last month. Her parents thanked the staff of MPY "for believing in the possibility of our daughter and embracing the journey with her. She came to you as a broken addict and graduated MPY with love for Christ in her heart."
  • Our young lady from Ohio also graduated high school in May and has returned to her parent's home transformed. She will return to Kansas in a couple of weeks to attend Friends University.
  • When one of our young ladies was promoted from the eighth grade, her mother and grandparents came all the way from California to applaud her accomplishment.

Our girls share that coming to a new place far from home can be difficult. At times they feel lonely and like outcasts. But with the support of MPY staff and encouragement from their families, our graduates have discovered their God-given talents, experienced the reward of doing the "right things for the right reasons," and embraced the joy that a purpose-filled life provides.

At MPY, self-esteem increases and the self-destructive habits and negative peer influence fall away. We see the excitement in the spirit of our young ladies as they realize that the dreams they have for their future can come true.

Thank you for sharing in these BIG wins by partnering with Main Place Youth with your prayer, your time, and your financial support.

P.S. Your financial gift makes a difference. Thank you.

In Christ,

Laura Hall
Executive Director

Main Place Youth fulfills a tremendous need by providing a "home-away-from-home" for teenage girls ages 12-18 struggling with addictions or destructive lifestyles. We are a not-for-profit adolescent, residential center, affiliated with Teen Challenge USA. We are a state licensed facility with regular inspections to assure high quality services and facilities. We have the capacity to provide a supportive and healing home for up to 15 girls.

Our Mission: We provide a caring, family structured home setting, endeavoring to touch the lives of hurting teenagers through spiritual guidance, education, appropriate role modeling and teaching a solid value system. Our goal is bringing restoration from the inside out to our girls and families.
