Providing Global Triage For Patients Located Anywhere

Treatment options for complex patients can be both local and global at the same time. 

Our focus at Rupert Case Management is serving patients located anywhere, with global triage services.
Case Study:                                     
Hans is an 84 year old engineer living in Guatemala. 

He developed severe back pain associated with sitting and walking. 

A MRI showed a severe spinal stenosis (compression of the spinal cord) at two levels of his lumbar spine. 

He sought a local solution but did not trust the local spinal surgeons.

Hans called Rupert Case Management for advice. 

We have been providing advice for patients located anywhere in Canada for over two decades and found it was easy to transition to providing the same services for a patient in Guatemala.
The Virtual Meeting And RCM's Process:                                         
We obtained Hans' MRI and uploaded it to RCM's secure cloud archive. 

We then booked a virtual meeting called, " Meet My Neurosurgeon". 

At this meeting, which took place within three days, there were four people on the screen. Attendees included Hans, the highly qualified spinal neurosurgeon found by RCM, Hans' daughter, and one of the doctors from RCM.  

The spinal neurosurgeon had secure access to Hans' MRI. He scrolled through the study and pointed out the spinal stenosis at L3-4 and L4-5. He described how he would do a minimally invasive two level decompression as an outpatient procedure.

Hans was pleased with the presentation and flew to the neurosurgeon's offices in New York State. He was examined and then booked for surgery the following day. 

He had the surgery. 

One week later, he was seen by the neurosurgeon. The outcome was described as a success by both patient and surgeon.

We were very pleased with this excellent outcome and by our ability to assist patients located anywhere with our global triage services.

We now welcome clients with complex problems located anywhere for complex case management.
