Help us honor Chet Sidell!
Glow Gala 2017:
Growing Minds, Cultivating Change

This is a special Glow! We will be highlighting our youth and honoring Chet Sidell, who has been a huge champion of investment in the city, for youth and of Groundwork.  An early supporter of Groundwork, Chet recognized the role that we could play in Lawrence's revitalization. He participated in the community feasibility process led by the National Park Service and Groundwork UK and was an early investor in our launch in 1999. Since then, Chet has continued to be a major advocate for Groundwork's ongoing efforts of "changing places and changing lives." The organization would not be where it is today without Chet's leadership, investment, and mentorship. Please join us in thanking Chet for all that he has done for Groundwork and the City of Lawrence.

On November 16 from 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm on the first floor of the Everett Mill, Canal Street, Lawrence, join us for an evening of fun featuring auctions, raffles, delicious food, and a presentation from our Green Team youth. Purchase your ticket today!
Sponsoring Glow Gala 2017
You can directly support youth development in Lawrence by sponsoring the Glow Gala ! Beyond the benefits of investing in future environmental leaders, sponsorship demonstrates an organization's or individual's commitment to making Lawrence cleaner, greener, and healthier for present and future youth.

Make your donation go further by utilizing Community Investment Tax Credits (CITC). New tax-deductible contributions of $1000 or more are eligible for CITC. Donors using CITC receive a 50% credit toward their MA tax liability, which could mean getting half of their donation back during tax season.

Calling all Eco-Artists!
Looking for a fun way to support Groundwork? We invite local artists and environmentalists of all ages to submit pieces of "Eco-Art" to promote our environmental and public health efforts.
Eco-Art incorporates at least one of the "4 R's" (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair) and is made from environmentally friendly materials and/or promotes environmental awareness. Art pieces that have been submitted in the past include lamps made out of recycled wine bottles, paintings on used/discarded furniture, sculptures made from reclaimed metal and jewelry made from plant seeds.
The deadline for submissions is November 3. Once juried, chosen eco-art will be displayed at Glow for more than 350 people to see and bid on. Artists can choose to donate all of the auction proceeds of their eco-art to support GWL programs or they can choose to split the proceeds 50/50. Learn more about submitting Eco-Art here
