On April 19, get ready to shake out!
Tomorrow, April 19, Utahns across the state will drop, cover, and hold on for an earthquake drill to prepare for the ever-looming "Big One." Individuals, businesses, schools, churches, and state agencies have also registered to take part in the drill. We hope you'll join with us and register at  https://www.shakeout.org/utah/register/ .

Given the high likelihood of a Wasatch Front earthquake with a magnitude of 6.75 or greater within the next 50 years—there is a one in four chance it will happen— it's crucial that we prepare and plan to avoid infrastructure/structural damages and, most importantly, save lives.

We surveyed Utahns and asked them what they thought we should do to become more resilient to disasters. You can see the resulting vision here.
Envision Utah's 2018 Spring Breakfast: Only 23 days left to get tickets!
Join us on May 23  for a discussion on Utah's inland port/global trade center. Ticket sales end Friday, May 11, so be sure to get yours soon!

We’ll have a panel of experts, researchers, and international players from the logistics field moderated by Envision Utah’s CEO. They'll not only discuss what makes an inland port successful, but key strategies for Utah to create a competitive global trade center that will bring economic growth through distribution and manufacturing.

This is a crucial issue for the entire state that affects Utahns in all sectors. We've also invited major logistics leaders in the state, freight forwarders, shipping & trucking companies, railways, the airport governing board, legislators, the Governor’s office, as well as importers and exporters from around the region. We hope that you'll come and join in on the discussion on this critical topic!

The event will be at the Grand America Hotel from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
