Martha's Ice Cream Opens in Middletown Square Shopping Center
I ncreased leasing activity continues at Middletown Square Shopping Center! Martha's Ice Cream is the latest addition, and brings a fresh, new component to
 the center with its 100% homemade ice cream.

Abdon Garcia,  owner of Ma rtha's Ice Cream,  says he cho se this location for that very reason. "There's nothing else like it in the center. We also chose this location bec ause it's right next to the bowling alley," said Garcia.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Evolution Karate joined the center in Middletown, DE last quarter.  Retail suites are currently available, as well as two pad sites and upper level office space.

1938:
Verino Pettinaro was born in 1938 to immigrant parents in Wilmington's Little Italy

1956:
After multiple paper routes as a boy, Verino graduated high school & began taking numerous jobs as a carpenter in DE, PA & NJ

1965:
Verino founded the Pettinaro Construction Co. out of a garage

Mid 1970's:
Pettinaro becomes one of the largest open shop contractors in DE bidding & completing jobs throughout the region

1984:
Former Krebs School converted into Tower Office Park - Pettinaro Corporate Office

1985:
Acquisition of 85 acres of Wilmington Riverfront land

1996:
Pettinaro Relocation division founded

2005:
Verino's son, Greg Pettinaro, took over management as CEO

She has officially been a member of the Pettinaro team for an incredible 
17 years! Pettinaro purchased the 901 Market St building in 1996 when Patti was employed by the facility management company, Grubb & Ellis. They managed the 901 Market St property for the former owner and Pettinaro retained Grubb & Ellis for an additional two years. In 1998, Pettinaro terminated their services and retained Patti! You can find her today managing her portfolio from the 901 Market St.
