Greetings!

Welcome to the October issue of TraditionCover & Rossiter's quarterly newsletter, which is being sent to our many clients, friends and associates. As the end of the year quickly approaches, and managing your finances and taxes shifts to the top of most lists, we hope you will find the following information helpful.  Also featured are some of the many "happenings" within the firm so you can get to know our talented team of associates, who are readily available to assist you.

Trauma Healing in Africa - Through Vickie's Eyes
Vickie Beam
As some may know, Vickie Young Beam, one of the managers at Cover & Rossiter, visited the Great Lakes region of Africa to help fight for an area that has been plagued with civil war, tribal conflicts, genocide, refugee displacement, disease and extreme poverty since the middle of the 20th century. She has returned, and brought with her an incredibly touching story. Read about her experience here.
Within the Firm...

Diane Burke was elected to a non-profit board.
Cover & Rossiter

Diane Burke was recently elected to the board of Limen House, a non-profit organization in Delaware that helps alcoholics and addicts reenter society as fully functioning and productive members.

Eric Williams, CPA was recently promoted to Manager within our firm's Captive Insurance Audit Department.

Eric Williams has been with Cover & Rossiter since 2003 and has been a valuable addition to the firm. During this time, he has been primarily working with our firm's non-profit clients and has recently transitioned to focus on the firm's captive insurance company audits, one of the fastest growing departments in our firm.   Eric has been a key member of the captive insurance audit team since 2007 and it is because of his dedication to superior client service that the firm has been successful in this area. We wish Eric continued success as he grows the firm's captive insurance audit team to one of local and regional significance.

Cover & Rossiter welcomes two new staff members to the team:

Amy Driscoll, Staff Accountant, Audit Department

Amy Driscoll has joined the Cover & Rossiter team as a Staff Accountant in the Audit Department. A Wilmington native, Amy graduated in May 2011 from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and is currently studying for her upcoming CPA exams. Amy is a welcome addition to our firm and we look forward to her applying her education, training and local knowledge to providing excellent service to her clients.

Matthew Sowa, Staff Accountant, Tax Department

After demonstrating his capabilities as an intern with the firm, Matthew Sowa has joined Cover & Rossiter as a Staff Accountant in the Corporate Tax Department.
