Fine Art Photography Gallery at Mumm Napa.
The lectures will focus on their unique photographic techniques, compositions and passions.

"Bank Swallow" by Sharon Beals

Sharon Beals, author of, Nests, Fifty Nests and the Birds that Built Them
will focus on her stunning photographs of unique birds' nests from around the world. These specimen nests and eggs date from the 1800's to present day. Works of art themselves, they inspire her passion for birds and her desire to engage even non-birders in conservation issues.
"What's the Rush" by Thea Schrack

Thea Schrack will talk about the evolution of her work including
her "Wild Places" series and how these mysterious photographs of reflections in rivers, moving water, and shadows are created and augmented with encaustic.

Susan Friedman will speak about her series "Cheval Blanc" and how her life-long passion for horses has led her to be a sought after equine photographer who travels the globe to create strong and moving portraits of world-class thoroughbreds.

Brigitte Carnochan will speak about her "Bella Figura' series, silver gelatin prints of fruits and flowers that are carefully hand-painted, lifting these images to a new and even more mysterious and elegant level. Carnochan has been referred to as "one of the most sensual contemporary photographers and today's leading master at the hand-coloring of photographs"by 21st Journal of Photography.
The photographers will also be available from 11:00 - 3:00 in the gallery during the day prior to each lecture. ~
