Project Graduation Car Raffle Tickets

Project Graduation is funded through many events and activities, but the majority of the funding is generated through the car raffle!! Currently, we have not collected enough money to pay for the cost of the car, much less make a profit on the fundraiser. Please help us do the following to ensure that we have the funds to provide the best project graduation possible for our 2013 grads:

  • If you have tickets that have been sold, please return those as soon as possible to Vance or Heather Jenkins.
  • If you have NOT sold any tickets, please pick some up and try to sell a minimum of 10.
  • Generate renewed excitement about the raffle to help increase ticket sales-the drawing is to be held on Tuesday, February 19 during halftime of the varsity basketball game at Nixa High School.
  • We are encouraging all tickets to be sold and turned in by January 31.

Tickets can be returned to or picked up at:

Way to Go Nixa Basketball

Thank you for all your support for our Basketball players and team.

I was extremely proud of our players this past weekend at the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions.

They represented our school and all of Missouri with class and dignity.

Thursday night our team played outstanding basketball and defeated the #1 ranked team from Kentucky 62-53.

The win was bittersweet, as two time all state player Jalen Norman suffered a possible season ending knee injury early in the 3rd qtr.

Friday night we faced the #1 ranked team in the nation in Montverde Academy, Florida.  Despite a tremendous effort the we were defeated 61-78.

Saturday our team played #22 ranked team in the nation in St John Bosco, California.  We again lost 63-73.

Our players came together and battled.  This team is determined to reach our goals despite the injury to Jalen.

Our players understand that playing this national level competition will only make our team better.

Congratulations to Austin Ruder.  In Saturdays game he surpassed Zach Towe as the schools all time career 3 pt leader.  His five trays gave him 231 for his career.

Towe had the record of 229 set from 1995-1999.  Austin is an outstanding young man.  He is a dedicated athlete and student.

In November he signed a letter of intent to attend and play Basketball at Missouri State University.

This week we host the Nixa Invitational Tournament.

We open up on Thursday at 7:30 vs Eugene (14-3).

Thanks again for your continued support!
