Chromebook Information

This year we will begin issuing Chromebooks before the start of school so teachers and students can start earlier in the year.  Everything will start off with a parent meeting to discuss changes to the Connected for Learning user agreement and Chromebook policies, and to give you a chance to ask questions.  The first parent meeting will be August 11th at 6:30pm in the high school cafeteria.  A make up meeting will be held after Meet the Teacher on August 29th.

Chromebooks will be issued to the freshman at Pup Camp on August 13th.  Sophomores, juniors, and seniors can get their Chromebooks the day of schedule pickup on August 15th.  For those that can’t make it on those days or forget the required documents/fees there will be a second chance to get a Chromebook on August 17th from 8am-12pm.

Remember, in order to get a Chromebook a signed User Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, and $30 user fee must be turned in.

Which House am I in and how does it work?

There is a principal, counselor, and secretary assigned to a house office to assist our students and families at Royse City High School.

The idea is to have a consistent place and team for students to go when they are in need of assistance. Counseling services, checking in and checking out of school, student discipline, issues with academics and notes from being absent are some of the types of things that house offices assist our students in handling.

House offices are split up by alphabet and will serve students in grades 9-12. There are some adjustments to the way the alphabet is split amongst the three houses. The house breakdown is as follows:

Alpha House (Last names A-Go):
Shannon Ainsworth-Principal
  Jessica Randle- Counselor
    Jennifer Royal-Secretary

Beta House (Last Names Gr-O):
Jason Nolan-Principal
    Sarah Thrash- Counselor
     Tammie Walker-Secretary

Gamma House (Last Names P-Z):
Terry Young-Principal
   Kelly Jones-Counselor
      Dalia Estrada-Secretary

Associate Principal
Nikki Steele

Lead Counselor
Linda Taylor

Head Principal
Sean Walker, Ed.D.
