Each week, new information is made available to REDD+ practitioners around the globe through the UN-REDD Programme Online Collaborative Workspace. El primer tema en esta Serie de Webinars Regionales sobre REDD+ será Salvaguardas con dos eventos que se realizarán el 2 de Agosto y el 9 de Agosto de 2016. Posteriormente el 23 de Agosto, miembros de los países de LAC estarán compartiendo sobre Procesos Participativos para la Construcción de Estrategias Nacionales REDD+.
The Sri Lanka UN-REDD Programme is sponsoring the International Symposium on Valuation of Forest Ecosystems.  The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 17 August 2016.
The first partners meeting for the Global Peatlands Initiative will be held 1-2 September 2016 in Rome. The initiative will work at the global level to provide an updated overall assessment of the status of peatlands and their importance in the global carbon cycle and for national economies, with emphasis on their role in enabling the achievement of global commitments to mitigate climate change, as outlined in the Paris Agreement.

A regional UN-REDD Information Exchange Meeting is planned to bring together Communications Officers from all active UN-REDD National Programmes and selected other initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region from 23-25 August 2016. UN-REDD Programme managers and CTAs will also take part in this meeting and hold parallel sessions on technical themes.
