REDI 's October was a busy month.
We held our 3rd Annual Commercial Broker Breakfast with over 75 attendees and 12 local vendor tables, hosted by Cushman & Wakefield and The JBG Companies and sponsored by First Potomac Realty Trust.
This event, a part networking and part trade show event, brought together
brokers along with developers/owners and a range of service providers including architects, attorneys, contractors, and engineers. Check out the Clip O'the Month below for a quick look.
October also saw the first disbursement from our Business Expansion Fund, part of the new Incentive Funds Program supported by the City. The first Fund recipient was KNG Health Consulting.
With the grant, KNG Health added 40% more square footage and plans to hire 2-4 employees in 2017. The company's commitment to Rockville since its founding in 2007 and potential for continued growth made it an ideal candidate for the Fund. You can find out more here.

Food Drives Need You!
With November comes the time for thanksgiving and more opportunities to give.
Two organizations in our community are holding Food Drives for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
During the annual Rockville Holiday Drive, sponsored by the City, the Community Services Division collects and distributes Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of children and families in Rockville.
Last year, the City's November Drive provided
Thanksgiving meal baskets and/or gift cards to 470 households, and Thanksgiving dinner to 122 seniors.
Food donations will be accepted through November 17 at City Hall or the City Community Center.
Community Ministries of Rockville also has a Holiday Giving Program, asking for complete Thanksgiving baskets for a family of 8 to be donated.
Distribution of the baskets will take place on Sunday, November 20, and donations are requested to be dropped off at the CMR office at 1010 Grandin Ave, Suite A1, on Thursday or Friday, November 17-18.
