Richardson celebrates 20th anniversary of Telecom Corridor brand
The Telecom Corridor turns 20 years old this year, and economic growth continues in Richardson. So far in 2012, 17 projects have been completed or announced involving 1,046 new or retained Richardson jobs and 478,486 square feet of commercial office and flex space. Richardson is expecting a better than average year in economic development.

Safety-Kleen relocating 300 employees to Richardson in September
Safety-Kleen Systems Inc. plans to begin moving its headquarters and 300 North Texas corporate employees to Richardson from Plano in September. The lease is for 82,500 square feet at Tower 2600, located at 2600 North Central Expressway.

Global business processing company to employ up to 200 at new Richardson office
Genpact, LLC, a global leader in business process and technology management, has opened a services center in Richardson. The center could employ up to 200 people over the next 12 to 18 months.

International business development ramps up in Richardson
Since the Mayor's Office for International Business kicked-off, REDP has developed a number of programs to recruit foreign-based companies and support their establishment activities once they arrive in Richardson. One such program is an economic development trip to Scandinavia.
