We will have a chance to see and discuss the restoration work being done around the Bay and how both wildlife and the public benefit.

You can also learn more about Measure AA, which will be on June's ballot in all nine Bay Area counties. Measure AA is a $12 per year parcel tax measure that would generate funds to restore wetlands and shoreline around San Francisco Bay. Here is a fact sheet prepared by the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority.

The measure will generate $25 million annually for 20 years for safe and clean water, pollution prevention, increased shoreline public access and recreation, natural flood protection, and fish, bird and wildlife habitat.

WHAT: Walk and talk about SF Bay and shoreline health
WHEN: 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 26
WHERE: Meet at Shimada Park (end of Marina Bay Parkway at the Bay), then walk along the Bay Trail to Meeker Slough
