Hollywood may be home to the big animation studios, but there's no shortage of cartoon creators in New York City, the city that gave birth to animation. Join Joe Strike for "Interview with an Animator," a multi-part series of live, in-person conversations with some of New York's best known and most creative animation professionals.
On March 7, Joe will interview the legendary illustrator/animator R.O.Blechman. R.O. Blechman is the recipient of numerous gold medals as well as several Emmys, he is a member of the Art Directors Hall of Fame (1999), and in 2003 MOMA held a retrospective of his animated films. In May 2011, The National Cartoonists Society honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
