Free NIH Course Available to All Faculty & Staff: Introduction to the Principles & Practice of Clinical Research (IPPCR)

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) is once again an official remote host for the "Introduction to the Principles of Clinical Research" course from the National Institutes of Health. 

The IPPCR course, for which  registration is now open, will run online from September 18, 2017 to June 15, 2018. The course is available to all faculty and staff, not just those affiliated with RBHS. 

Rutgers to Host Northeast Region Life Sciences Core Directors Meeting at Heldrich Center in Oct

The Northeast Region Life Sciences Core Directors (NERLSCD) Meeting will be hosted by Rutgers University at the Heldrich Center on October 25-27.  The meeting is a regional forum for core facility administrators, directors, managers, and staff to network with colleagues, learn about biotechnology advances and their applications, and discuss the challenges of implementing shared research resources.  Read more
September 18-22 Marks National Postdoc Appreciation Week

Every year since 2009, the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) sponsors National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) to recognize the significant contributions that postdoctoral scholars make to U.S. research and discover. This year's  celebration will be held on September 18-22.  Institutions from across the country and world participate by holding special events.

Electronic IRB (eIRB) Submission Process Goes Live For All Rutgers Campuses on October 30, 2017

Researchers (professional or student) from any school on all Rutgers campuses submitting  new  human subject research projects to the IRB  on/after October 30, 2017  must do so electronically through  eIRB Paper submissions for
new studies will  NOT  be accepted as of October 30, 2017. For amendments or continuing reviews of  previously   IRB-approved  paper studies, you may continue to submit in paper until further notice.  Read more

Rutgers has experienced an increased number of awards, and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is working to establish accounts as quickly as possible. As we work through pending awards, please ensure your conflict of interest disclosure is up-to-date, compliance protocols are submitted, and department UDOs are provided to ORSP in a timely manner.  Read more

Int erdisciplinary Research Grant Program Accepting Applications Through November 1

To stimulate the creation of interdisciplinary research groups at Rutgers, this internal grant program provides $50,000 in funding, with a required equal match, to support collaborative research projects. Read more
NJMS Faculty, Researchers, and Administrators Meeting With RAPSS and eCERT Updates

The next New Jersey Medical School Research Administrators Meeting (September 25, 1:00-3:00 p.m., Medical Sciences Building, Lecture Hall B-610), will include wor kshops from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs with updates and functionality on RAPSS, the electronic grant submission system, and from the Grant and Contract Accounting team on the new effort reporting system, eCERT, and salary transfer process.
