East Valley Family Services, Las Vegas
, held a REST Companion course in late January, training 16 individuals to provide respite care throughout the surrounding community.
Legacy Home Care, Las Vegas
, continues to use the REST Companion course to train employees, who provide a wide range of non-medical home services, including respite care.
Wellspring Faith in Action, St. James
, will hold a REST Companion course on March 8.
Living at Home/Block Nurse Program (LAH/BNP), Granite Falls, will hold a REST Companion course this month.
LAH/BNP assists individuals age 60 and older, and those with disabilities, to remain safe and independent in their homes and communities. The program also recognizes the capability of local neighborhoods and communities to integrate the social and in-home services needed and make them more easily accessible.
