Register for RHA's webinar on July 26 with Kara Maciel and Jordan Schwartz of Conn Maciel Carey to learn about two key legal issues: ADA and sexual harassment in the workplace. 

One method of protecting your company's assets from claims arising out of employment practices is to purchase Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). If you are on the fence about purchasing this insurance, here are a few points to consider:
  • Employee lawsuits and discrimination allegations are excluded under standard general liability coverage. So, without an EPLI policy in place, you are 100% self-insuring the risk.
  • Even with good employment practices in place, it is not uncommon for legal fees associated with an employment lawsuit to be in excess of $100,000.
  • We live in a very litigious society, therefore, every employer, no matter how small or large, is vulnerable to legal action from past, present and prospective employees.
