ROE Welcomes Director of Innovative Professional Learning

The ROE is excited to announce the addition of Katie Algrim as its Director of Innovative Professional Learning. Katie comes to the ROE from Cortland Elementry School in Dekalb, IL, where she most recently served as an Assistant Principal.


"We're excited to have Katie join our office and can't wait to see how she will help educators in Kane County best serve our students," shared Regional Superintendent Patricia Dal Santo. "Katie will be pioneering a new online learning experience for the schools of Kane County and creating an online learning community that we know will be a benefit to educators."

Project Backpack 2017 is Looking for Donations

Project Backpack is currently accepting donations of school supplies to distribute to students within Elgin Community College's district area for the upcoming school year.


Donations of school supplies will be accepted prior to Monday, July 31 at several locations. The event will take place Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ECC. For more information on school supplies needed and drop off locations, visit the Project Backpack website.
