How many bankers does it take....
|
To make a Dorchester home healthier and safer? One hundred! On
Friday, 11/4,
the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Foundation (MMBF) will partner with Rebuilding Together Boston (RTB) where skilled and unskilled volunteers will donate time, talent, and resources for a "hands-on" day of home repairs and renovations.
Work includes scraping/painting,
health and safety updates, improving and replacing electrical fixtures, replacing worn treads, replacing shingles and windows on turret, and more! It's going to be a fantastic day of service that will greatly benefit a multi-generational family. Thank you MMBF!!
NIck Starusky and Marc Seigle will serve as Project Supervisors with Vahid Majidian
contributing critical support.

Vertex employees make a difference!
|
Vertex employees helped with repairs and renovations at a multi-generational home in Dorchester on September 30th.
Scraping/painting, staining of three outside decks, repointing and painting of the outside foundation, addition of critical health and safety features,
landscaping, and more happened on the day of service. Volunteer Marc Seigle was the Project Supervisor with Vahid Majidian also contributing critical support.

DiTech
Supports Camp Spaulding
|
Not usually our domain but RT National asked if RTB could help with this project.
On September 10th, YMCA employees and teen leaders spent a day to update and renovate a tired looking village in their camp. Their efforts supported by DiTech, included painting three cabins and decks, building three raised beds to grow perennials and vegetables, replacement of light fixtures, and the painting of a mural on a large fence by artist, Jason Talbot.
On September 22th, Ditech sponsored NASCAR driver, Kevin Harvick, attended a ribbon cutting to celebrate the renovation. Joe Melchionda was the Project Supervisor.

GCC builds a play space for children in need
|
We want to leave you with a wonderful video (
click on image to right) that captures the work done by
GCC volunteers, 70 strong, on NRD '16. Besides the tiling, painting, repair, and replacement work they did for the Nazareth Residence for Women and Children, they also created an outdoor play space for the children who are guests at the shelter.
Thank you GCC and All that support the work that RTB does!
