U.S. News & World Report released its

"2018 Best High Schools" list and

Rowland High School

and

Nogales High School

both earned a ranking of Silver!

Outstanding Employees Honored at RUSD Employee of the Year Recognition Dinner

2018 Rowland Unified School District Employees of the Year.

It was an evening of celebration as oustanding classified and certificated employees of the year from across the District were honored by the Board of Education for their service. The Rowland Unified Employee of the Year Recognition Dinner was held at the Diamond Bar Community Center last Thursday and attendees were treated to entertainment by orchestra students from both Rowland and Nogales High Schools and were wowed with vocals by Shelyn Elementary 6th Grader Angel Garcia (pictured above). Be on the lookout for this rising star -- Angel will be featured in an upcoming episode on America's Got Talent!

Classified Employee of the Year Monica Valadez (Giano Intermediate) , Administrator of the Year Dr. Celia Munguia (Northam Elementary) , and Teacher of the Year Olivia Najar (Nogales High School) .

The Masters of Ceremony for the evening were Kurt Schlatter (Technology Services) and Nancy Buck (Teacher from Jellick Elementary). Everyone had interactive fun as the MC's had the audience play "Kahootz" and answer RUSD trivia questions to have their tables dismissed for dinner!

RUSD Employee Longevity Awards Today at 4 PM

The Rowland Unified School District Board of Education will honor RUSD employees from across the District today, Thursday, May 24 at 4 p.m. at the District Office Board Room for those employees who have served the District for more than 25 years, as well as those employees who are retiring.
