2015 In Review
Late start in Alaska, low returns in Canada, no returns in Russia, confused prices. Rising employee costs drive automation interest, but lack of skilled mechanics limit applications.
This has been a very profitable RYCO market for 25 years. With the Ruble slide and the political posturing, RYCO 2015 Russian sales were down, offset by increased activity in Central and South America.
RYCO provided much of the processing equipment for a large new plant in Naknek. Two large double wetpumps, two Flow Scales, six Header/Gutter lines and two large Weigh/Sort conveyors. With the slow season start, the crews had the machines dialed in, and the machines performed well.
Sardines and other canning fish have declined, replaced by large stocks of "Crunida" (Thread Herring). RYCO has new machines to remove the large hard scales at the vent and the long "thread" on the back of these fish.
New RYCO scaling machine for salmon, based upon proven concepts, updated for reliability and performance.
For mounting on any header infeed, for fast, accurate cuts before filleting.
New system is more accurate and reliable than any Weighbelt currently available, and allows Grade input.
