In 2007, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg proclaimed at Stanford, "Young people are just smarter." It is no secret that the ethos of the tech world in Silicon Valley is biased toward youth. The average age of a developer is 31. I don't cringe at this just because I now find myself in my late

thirties, but because a bias toward youth misses so much. Wisdom is gained from time and

experiences and mistakes.

Last week I watched a movie called The Intern, starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. De Niro's character is recently retired and looking for a place to show up and share his expertise.

I won't give the story away, but the point is that we are all better off when we share community with people of different generations.

As the worlds we inhabit are increasingly defined in narrow niches, our faith community is a precious intergenerational space! Thank you for being a part of it!

Connect with us tomorrow for a special event as we watch the documentary film Radical Grace. You won't be disappointed! See you soon!

Peace,

Nicole
