AsSalaam Alaikum Dear Community Members,

In the beautiful, bountiful month of Ramadan, by the mercy of Allah SWT, help of dedicated Rahma volunteers, and our generous community, Alhumdulillah Rahma was able to serve homeless individuals, welcome new refugee families and bring a smile to young faces.  Rahma continues to provide the services such as job placement, ESL connect, referrals to our marital counselors, mental health, shelters and much more. We have had success stories and challenging times but with the mercy of Allah SWT we continue our work with a team of dedicated volunteers and staff. 
 
Duas and special thanks to all the volunteers who helped with all the different programs this Ramadan, please continue to provide your much needed support both by volunteering and donating.

Rahma Community Services

Iftar Food distribution
 - Rahma started the program to donate left over Iftar food to homeless at the Over-The-Rhine masjid. We received an overwhelming amount of support for sending excess Iftar food to those who need. The OTR masjid was appreciative of the food. Thank you to Sr. Uzma Siddiqui, Sr. Warda Safdar, Sr. Javaria Usmani, Sr. Hina Moin, Sr. Seema Arif, and Sr. Amira Batal who helped taking the food to OTR.
 
Food drive (non-perishable)  - Alhumdulillah we collected over 10,000 lb. of food. Every week a team of volunteers would, transfer, sort, weight and make grocery bags. Grocery bags of food were distributed to many Muslim families including Mason, West Chester, Middletown, Lockland and Harrison areas.

Our appreciation and thank you to Sr. Nasreen Fatima, Sr. Riz Raja, Sr. Samina Rehmaan, Sr. Ayesha Baig, Sr. Saba Ansari, Sr. Wafa Ali, Sr. Dima, Sr. Khuzama, Sr. Hina, Br. Munam, Br. Tariq Sultan, and Br. Ameen Ansari. Among kids we had a lot of helpers Rayyan Khan, Elsa Khan, Wali Khan, Nuha Syed, Sarah Chaudhary, Noor Amir, Emaan Asghar, Albaraa Tarabishi, Serene Tarabishi, Salwa syed, Israa Malik, Amina Malik, Khalid Malik, Safwaan Jaweed, Zain Jaweed, Ameen Jaweed, Nabeel Jaweed, Jihad Khan, Saad Khan, Farhan, Mohammed Markamallah and many more.

Additionally, we distributed Lamb to 20 families, day before EID enabling them to have a festive EID celebration.

Toy drive
 - We were able to collect around 250 toys. The toys were wrapped by ICGC youth; it was distributed at the Abu Bakr Siddique Masjid (Harrison) and to new Refugee families.

Abouelalla and Sr. Amber and the volunteers Melat Mohamoud, Aseel Hasan, and the Youth Group members. A special recognition to the Mercedes-Benz Cincinnati dealership contribution, Modasser Khan and Steve Zubieta for their generous donation of $2000 worth of toys.
 
Welcome New Refugee families
 - It is a true blessing and I am humbled by Rahma volunteers working along with community members to integrate new families in our larger community. The community members such as Sr.Dima Almeniawi, Sr. Samar Mardalli and many more are shining examples that provide the much needed mentorship and support to the new families as they are arriving. Rahma provides them support through our different programs and referrals. Thank you to Rahma volunteers Sr. Sabohi Adhami, Sr, Ghada, Sr. Sameera Jaweed, Sr. Leanna Allouch.

Summer Tutoring
 - We started summer tutoring program for refugee kids, Alhumdulilah our enrollment has increased to 19 students who are tutored by our youth volunteers. Our mission is to enable youth to 1) understanding of Math, Science, and other subjects that will help improve grades at school leading to better future opportunities and 2) Form bonds and mentorship enabling integration into the broader community. All the students are provided with a bag with workbooks and paired with a tutor. Our tutors are Foad Bousa, Yusuf Saeed, Haseeb Bakali, Mehek Bakali, Nuha Syed, Emaan Asgher, Hana Quraishi, Eman Chaudhry, Ayda Abdou, Shahar Ahmad, Qasim Chaudhry, Asma Minkara, Marwa Jundi, Safa Jundi,  Salwa Syed, Israa Malik, Khalid Malik, Safwaan Jaweed and kids who substitute Maryam Khan, Zumair Hayath, Nora Tulimat, Farhan
 
Serving Other
- Rahma volunteers had two opportunities to serve our broader community, by providing dinner to Transitional Living, Butler county Mental health residential service provider and First Unitarian church. First Unitariun is part of the IHN network that host homeless families for a week. Rahma volunteers prepared, serverd and entertained the families who were staying at the church.
