We are all vibrational energy beings and we vibrate at different levels at different times. Vibrations is just another word for feelings and emotions; it's our attitude. When we are taking good care of ourselves and feel appreciated, we will vibrate at a high, positive, light, constructive level and attract people and circumstances that match that energy.
However, when we are burned out and stressed out, when we're not taking good care of ourselves and don't feel appreciated, we will vibrate at a low, negative, dark, destructive level. And, because misery loves company, we'll attract people and circumstances that vibrate at that same unhealthy level.
It's your responsibility to do what you can to maintain a high vibrational energy by loving and nurturing yourself. Start with the basics, like eating healthy, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep and exercising. Then, go deeper to intentionally spend time with people who are positive and supportive, and less time with the others. Enjoy a hobby or sport, read inspiring books, spend time in nature, listen to great music, sing, dance, practice random and not-so-random acts of kindness.
Call to Action:
- Make a list of the activities that bring you joy, like playing a musical instrument, catching up with an old friend, or going to a movie or comedy club.
- Schedule at least one of these activities this week.
- Notice how raising your energy reduces stress and helps you be more positive, focused and productive.
