National Lutheran Schools' Week (NLSW)
Jan. 21-27
Although it's cold outside, things are about to get smokin' hot here! It's time to celebrate our school! What a blessing it is to have a fantastic church and school that let's us learn of the love of Jesus every single day! Now it's time to celebrate that never-ending love!
Our theme this school year is, "It's All About Jesus", based on the Bible verse of Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. So, our theme days for NLSW follow this.
Monday, Jan. 21 - "Jesus Christ is the same..."- We are all going to dress the same in black and white.

Tuesday, Jan. 22 -  "... yesterday..." Time for a blast from the past! Choose your favorite decade and dress retro !

Wednesday, Jan. 23-  "...and today..."  Wear your Good Shepherd school shirt or dress in hunter green as we travel to St. Paul's, Oconomowoc, for our regional chapel service.

Thursday, Jan. 24 -  "... and forever." What will the future look like? Time to dress like your vision of fashion in the future.

Friday, Jan. 25- Let's go crazy with the comfort that Jesus is always the same!  Crazy hair!   Wild clothes! Mismatched shoes!  You name it! Let's celebrate.
Year book orders!
It is that time of year to think about Year Books! An order form is being sent home today.  The cost this year is $13.00. Please return the envelope to the school office with a check made out to “Life Touch” by Friday February 2, 2018.  Thank you!

The first – eighth graders are participating in an AR National Challenge that begins on January 29 . Any elementary LCMS school in the United States and Canada that is presently using the Accelerated Reader program may enter the contest. LCMS elementary schools from California all the way down to Florida are participating. Students that are participating must be independent readers.
The purpose of this challenge is to provide an incentive and motivation for our children at Lutheran schools to read more, get smarter, and have fun. Reading for this contest can occur anywhere the children are – at home, at school, in the car, etc. All reporting of points will be done by each school’s coordinator via the AR Challenge web site. Mrs. Baker is our school AR coordinator. Each week she will be responsible for reporting the total points that each grade level/division has earned. March 9 is our cutoff date for the AR Challenge.
Last year we took second place overall. This year Ms. Gromowski challenges us to take FIRST place. We can do this, students. Get reading!
