Rock River Regional Spelling Bee March 11
The Rock River Regional Spelling Bee will be held Sunday, March 11, 1pm at Good Shepherd.
Students need to be there at 12:30pm.
If you ordered PJ certificates, they will be available for pick up the week of March 12 in the school office.

  Evening of Expression.
Please join Good Shepherd Lutheran School for an Evening of Expression. This program featuring our talented K-8th grade students will take place this Thursday, March 15th at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. All are welcome!
Grandfriends’ Day March 23th
We are excited to announce that this year’s Grandparents/Special Friends Day will take place on Friday, March 23th. There will be muffins/donuts from 8-8:30am. After that everyone will join their grand-students for the morning. Please contact the school office with any questions.

We have finished week FIVE of our Accelerated Reader National Challenge. GSLS moved back into FIRST PLACE, but not by much. We are only in first place by 0.8 of a point. That means we need to READ, READ, READ! During week five we averaged 52 points per student since we started on January 29! The students are super excited to finish the challenge. We end Friday, March 9. Final Results next week
Lutheran Schools Solo & Ensemble Results from March 3

Each judge critiqued the performers in the following elements of music performance:  Tone & Intonation , Technique & Note Accuracy , Rhythm Accuracy , Dynamics & Tempo , and Articulation . The judge would then rate the student either I = Superior, II = Excellent, or a III = Good. “Classifications are determined by their difficulty, Class A-high school level to college, all the way to Class E- beginning level.”

3rd Quarter Chapel-Hurricane Relief
We are supporting our South Wisconsin District efforts toward Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief in Texas. SWD Disaster Relief Teams have been assisting in the relief efforts in Port Arthur, TX. Teams have traveled to Texas to help with site preparation, drywall installation, home restoration and site clean-up.

Financial Aid Available 2018-2019
For families who do not qualify for the Wisconsin Parent Choice Program, financial aid may still be available. Financial aid is awarded on an “as needed” basis. If you would like to apply for financial aid for the 2018-2019 school year, please stop by the school office for further information.  April 30 is the deadline for ALL returning families to submit the online application through TADS.
