Rampart expands service offerings through Virtual Stack merger
Columbus, Ohio May 3, 2016 - Columbus-based Rampart Hosting, LLC has completed a merger with Virtual Stack, LLC, an IT managed services company, continuing to round out its service offerings to a global clientele. In addition to the merger, Rampart is expanding its presence to become the anchor tenant at the new technology incubator, Cultivate, while maintaining current offices in the Arena District and the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center.
Rampart CEO Rick E. Hulse states, "The merge with Virtual Stack allows us to better assist our clients through advanced, 24-hour managed monitoring of their servers and networks, graduating them away from a break/fix approach to their IT. Additionally, our new space at Cultivate in Grove City allows Rampart to provide emerging young businesses, small businesses, and startups direct access to tech assistance and the benefits of better technology."
Cultivate, soon opening in the heart of Grove City's historic district, is an exciting, new co-working space owned by Matt Yerkes, a serial entrepreneur who opened his first software firm in 2001. "We are excited to have Rampart as our lead technology partner at Cultivate," Yerkes says.
Virtual Stack owners Don Ribar and Hal Krebs will remain with Rampart, fulfilling CFO and Board Member positions respectively. Five Virtual Stack employees and contractors, including new Rampart Vice President of Sales, Luke Ubelhor, will immediately join the twelve current employees and contractors at Rampart. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Established in 2005 by COO and Founder, Leo L. Daugherty III, Rampart has grown to be a highly unique and experienced full-service technology services firm. With an excellent reputation in the healthcare, manufacturing, education, and tech sectors, Rampart has been named to the top 25 list of development firms by Columbus Business First five years' running.
