Results from the Phillips County Saddle Club Ranch Rodeo
Justin Palmer rides a bronc for the Reid Ranch at the Phillips Co. Saddle Club Ranch Rodeo.
Billings, MT--The Reid Ranch team from Idaho is on a roll, winning two ranch rodeos in one weekend.

At the Phillips County Fair the ranch rodeo was Sunday afternoon. Several teams were entered, all vying for a qualified spot in the NILE Ranch Rodeo. The Reid Ranch has been competing all summer long and the first weekend in August they secured their spot, twice.

Justin Palmer, Jess Reid, Kip Hunter, Brandi Hunter and Jak Christensen make up the team and they reside in Blackfoot, Idaho. August 5th they won the Big Sky Roundup Ranch Rodeo and August 6th they won the Phillips County Saddle Club Ranch Rodeo.

At the Phillips County Fair Ranch Rodeo second place went to Steppler Ranch. Third place was awarded to Olsen Grain and Livestock. Fourth went to Overpass Ranch. Handy Ranch won fifth, followed by W Lazy A Ranch and Fork U Cattle Co. in sixth and seventh.

The top horse award was given to Kitty ridden by Jeremy Pierce of Olsen Grain & Livestock. The top bronc rider was Taylor Merril of the Reid Ranch.

The Reid Ranch team has qualified for the NILE several times but has never won. They've competed in several this summer and done well, 2017 may be the year they're crowned champions. They'd be a good team to bet on--partake in the Calcutta in the NILE Hospitality Room prior to the Farstad Oil Ranch Rodeo Finals.

The winning team from the Phillips County Saddle Club Ranch Rodeo will compete at the Farstad Oil Ranch Rodeo Finals at the NILE Saturday, October 14 at 7 p.m. in Billings, Montana. The NILE is proud to have the Phillips County Saddle Club Ranch Rodeo as one of the sanctioning partners.
