Billings, MT--It's a great weekend for a great ranch rodeo in Great Falls! Head to Montana Expo Park this Saturday, August 5th at 11 a.m. for the Big Sky Roundup Ranch Rodeo.
The ranch rodeo is an exciting way to partake in the Montana State Fair
.
It starts off with a Calcutta where the crowd and contestants can bid on teams they believe will win. If they're right they'll easily win their money back and then some.
Teams prove their toughness through bronc riding, team branding, doctoring, sorting and trailer loading. Whoever wins, wins money, glory and a ticket to the NILE. The events are mimicked after ranch work. The contestants are authentic cowboys and cowgirls who do this sort of activity daily.
The competition will be steep in the ranch rodeo because there are a couple teams that haven't yet qualified for the NILE Ranch Rodeo Finals yet. They'll be gunning for the top spot at the Big Sky Roundup to earn an entry to the big show in Billings.
The teams competing are:

from Augusta, MT
