Bay Area and Los Angeles Area Nursing Resource Centers are a collaborative effort between HealthImpa ct and the Foundcation for California Community Colleges (FCCC)
We are excited to share news about the recent upgrades that are in development for the CCPS tool. In addition to a modernized, improved user experience and better response times, we have been working on several other enhancements. Here are a few highlights:
Navigation. CCPS will be easier and more intuitive for users to navigate. Customized dashboards for each user type will provide an efficient way to view and access key information at a glance.
Placement request process. Users will complete a single form to view their placement options and submit requests. We've also made the process more flexible, allowing for preceptor and allied health placements.
Placement availability and management. Users can now survey the unit manager for availability information, ensuring the best possible student placements on each unit. Multiple filters and overlap notifications will help coordinators review and respond to requests.
Student assignments to clinical placements. Once a placement request has been accepted by a provider, schools can assign students to the clinical placement.
Future enhancements include:
Pre-clinical onboarding features. Pre-clinical orientation courses, assessments, and requirements will automatically be assigned for completion. Users can easily track progress on the completion of clinical requirements.
Document management solution. A document storage solution for clinical agency pre-clinical documents is in development. Through partnerships with established background check vendors, we are creating a single solution for managing student clinical placements.

Our phased roll out is scheduled for February 2017. We will first pilot a regional market that schedules an individual summer placement cycle. Due to the time sensitivity of the placement cycles, we will work with each regional market individually to determine the best roll-out schedule.

I am excited to work with all of you even though I have big shoes left to fill with Nikki's departure (she is doing great by the way!)
