Update on Rhonda: While riding down 36 on the Carter Lake ride Saturday Rhonda became close with a kamikaze bird! Not the pretty bald eagle that some of us got to see! She ducked, dived and dipped and then went down! She landed all her weight on her hip. The result was a fracture in the lessor trochanter of her femur bone. On Sunday she had a small plate attached. She is at Avista healing from surgery. Not too sure when she will be sent home. She is happy to see any visitors now or when she gets home. We will be part of organizing food so stay tuned for details.
June 24th Sunday: rides leave at 8am note: if the weather is looking "iffy" or too smoky check the calendar at 7am
Meet at Full Cycle no later then 7:45am, we ride out at 8am sharp. You must sign annual waiver and listen, agree to and be checked off for the safety rules. On the medium and long rides we suggest you know how to fix your own flat. On all rides have the items to fix your flat (tube, patch kit, tire levers (2) and a pump).
This weekends rides are:
- 1 short ride (10-12mph) - Cherryvale (20 mi)
- 2 medium rides - 12-14mph and 15+mph - Morgul Bimarck (33 mi)
- 2 long rides -12-14mph and 15+ - Prospect to Erie (56 mi)
Be ready.
- Air in your tires, gears shifting correctly, TWO water bottles and energy (food). We are happy to look over your bike before we ride but we will not have time to do any mechanical work. Please check you bike at home (maybe now) to see if you need anything before the ride. Eat a healthy breakfast, have on the cycling gear you ride in, you MUST wear a safe helmet to ride with the Club.

TONIGHTJune 19th Tuesday Reaching your Cycling Goals w/ Traci Brown Many people have experienced moments in rides when everything flows, we feel our best and cycling seems magical. But for most, it's illusive and beyond our control. This doesn't have to be the case. Peak performance is a strategy which can be created and enjoyed any time. Participants will learn how to create the mindset to reach your goals both on the bike and off. This is the same mindset used by Olympic and pro athletes. While laughing and being kept on the edge of their seats, attendees will: *Gain an understanding of how your mind works & how to guide it toward the performance you want *Learn how your values and beliefs motivate you or keep you stuck *Learn how to create the exact performance you want on the unconscious level so you ride as fast you want with ease every time Women only - open to all June 20th Wednesday FREE Co-ed maintenance Clinic 7:15pm - Intermediate level (this clinic will not cover how to fix a flat) July 10th Tuesday How and Why We Maintenance our Bikes - 6:30pm Yes it is nice to have a clean and sparkly bike but it is more then just washing. What do you do after? Learn how to clean your bike, lube your chain, When to change brake pads and cables, when to change your tires and what brands are best and all the other important details that make your bike ready to ride again.
