Greetings!

Happy New Year!  In past years we typically did not have a January Alumni Career Newsletter due to schedules and employers just getting back to work after the Holiday Season. However, this year we are bringing you an abbreviated edition because we have so many recent job postings looking for Ship Alumni that we felt it was imperative to get you the information as soon as possible. We have also listed some spring dates that may help you with your job search.

Web Content Writer, Shippensburg University, Shippensburg

The assignment is slated to last one year. This position is responsible for presentation of content of higher-level webpages within the Shippensburg University website including, but not limited to, the admissions webpages and other non-academic webpages. The Web Content Writer works closely in collaboration with various content providers, in particular the academic colleges and departments, to ensure that web content is accurate, updated regularly and is in concert with the university's marketing and branding campaign.  Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Web Design, Technical/Professional Writing, Marketing, or a related field and the ability to accurately synthesize large amounts of information into a concise and accurate format appropriate for the web and working knowledge of web-based applications, content management and visual design concepts. Best of the South!; Atlanta, GA, February 9. Candidate application deadline: January 25

STA at NAIS; Philadelphia, February 27 - March 1. Candidate application deadline: February 15

Manager, Construction Services, Rite Aid's Store Planning and Construction Dept.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage corporate capital initiative projects. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. The following qualities are required: Experience with environmental remediation/store refrigeration equipment/low voltage technologies is desirable; Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated; Ability to preserve confidentiality of information; Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency; Ability to work weekends and extended days on an occasional basis; Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business or Engineering or related field, plus three (3) years' experience in construction management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
