SU Alumni Association 

Would you like an easy way to network with regional employers and get a free practice interview and resume critique? Attend the upcoming Resume Bootcamp and the Mock Interview Day for SU Alumni and Students. This is our 3rd year holding this event and there have been several alumni and students that have received job and internship opportunities because of attending. While this is not a job fair, the networking opportunities that are associated with meeting employers face to face who want to help SU alumni and students with their career endeavors is priceless! 1. Experienced Accountant Position

2. Communications/Digital Media Coordinator

The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association(NFRA), headquartered in Harrisburg, seeks Communications/Digital Media Coord. reporting to NFRA's VP of Comm. to coordinate digital media activities to facilitate member engagement & consumer awareness of NFRA & the frozen & refrigerated foods industry and to assist in planning, writing & editing of communications projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Communications or related field; Demonstrated skill in writing, editing & proofing; Enthusiasm for digital communications, be a user & consumer of digital media & have an interest & knowledge of best practices; Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Ability to manage multiple projects, set goals and meet deadlines; Advanced attention to detail;  Familiarity with web content management systems helpful; Limited travel required. 3.  Two Emergency Medical Services Program Specialist positions

Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services

Positions are located in Harrisburg, Dauphin County

Nature of Work: Chosen candidates will develop and coordinate the statewide emergency medical services systems (EMSS); manage program operations including licensure, data collection & analysis, regional planning, clinical education & emergency preparedness; coordinate activities in program areas such as accreditation and certification of pre- hospital providers and facilities within the sixteen state regions. Work also involves ongoing policy development, quality assurance, implementing and evaluating regulations and policies, and providing technical assistance and guidance.

Requirements: Two years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services (EMS) program or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program; and a bachelor's degree in health policy and administration, economics, statistics, public or business administration, emergency medicine, nursing or a related medical field; OR Three years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program; and an associate degree in health policy and administration, economics, statistics, public or business administration, emergency medicine, nursing or a related medical field; OR Four years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program; and 30 credits in health policy and administration, economics, statistics, public or business administration, emergency medicine, nursing or a related medical field; OR Five years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program. 5.    Producer for Farmers Insurance Agency

Dresher, PA 

Build your insurance sales career with the third largest insurance carrier in the country, Farmers Insurance. Sales Associates sell insurance products and handle inbound sales calls from referred Farmers customers and prospects, and when appropriate, initiate outbound calls to customers that requested a call back to discuss their insurance. Responsibilities also include managing prospect follow up activities, analyzing customers current coverage, and presenting Farmers recommended coverage.
Experience in insurance sales, particularly property and casualty insurance, is a plus; but most important is your ability to connect with customers in a way that generates positive sales. You will be paid monthly variable compensation including renewal commission. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your sales prowess and grow your career in a friendly, fun work environment that is fast paced and expanding rapidly.
Basic Qualifications: 6+ months of sales or customer service experience with a drive to make money. Must have clean background and credit history.
1+ years professional sales experience in insurance, financial services, or related sales position in which success is rewarded with variable pay; Knowledge of financial products and services; Current holder of appropriate home state Property/Casualty or Life/Health Insurance license, or able to obtain appropriate licenses within 30 days; Problem solving skills to research alternatives and resolve complex customer needs; Excellent organizational and time-management skills; Adept in using computer systems to find and use information quickly from multiple sources; Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid work environment; Ability to work independently

ContResume Boot camp: Thursday, March 29

11am - 3pm SU Campus in the Ceddia Union Bldg

Description: Employers will be on-site offering resume critiques to alumni and current students. Students/alumni will arrive with their resumes and employers will offer suggestions for improvements. Employers from Social service organizations, education, business, & government will be attending.

 

 "Mock" Interview Day:  Wednesday, April 11
 
10am - 3pm  SU Campus in the Ceddia Union Bldg        
Description: Employers will be on-site offering practice interviews to alumni who register. Employers from a variety of fields will be attending.
