Tips for Your Job Hunt.  By Caley Tate '10, magazine editor for Hibu, King of Prussia

In today's technological world it seems almost impossible to find a job, right? So this means that you must be skillful in searching for a job, let alone finding one to apply for. Job hunting can be a tiresome, excruciating task for the hunter. The best approach I have found is to be aggressive!

First, start your aggressive career search online. By using the Internet, apply to different employment agencies and recruiters, scan the want ads and work through referrals.

Second, make sure that you have a professional resume. Often times a good resume will get you at least an emailed response. Key here is not to stop with one, but keep following up. You may think this is annoying, but in my experience "it is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease."

Third, once you land the interview, interview like a jobholder not job hunter! Job hunters may come across as needy and too willing, which in turn may result in rejection. Keep in mind that employers want a professional, so be professional. Dress professionally, arrive early as opposed to on time. Ask the interviewer questions, this shows that you are engaged and actually interested in the job that you are interviewing for.

One final piece of advice, and perhaps the most important, after the interview, send a thank you letter, not an email but a LETTER, with your hand written signature. If nothing else, it will grab their attention, and who knows it may even land you the job.

Best of luck hunters!
