Welcome to the March edition of the Alumni Career Newsletter!
Pathways to Success Professional Career Conference - for students, graduate students, and alumni.

This program is coordinated by Shippensburg University Career Center & University Relations/Alumni Office.
 
 

This is an excellent event!  Hear from alumni and employer speakers around a variety of career topics. Take advantage of the excellent opportunity for networking and getting possible leads. Pre- Registration in advance is required. You can attend 1 workshop or all of the workshops- whatever will fit into your schedule.   

 

Sessions & Times:

  • Packaging You: Shaping Your Personal Brand (Presented at: 2:00-3:15pm & 5:50-7:00pm)
  • United States to China- Making Sense of Working in a Global Market (Presented at: 2:00-3:15pm & 5:50-7:00pm)
  • Navigating the Road to Public Service Careers (Presented at: 2:00-3:15pm & 5:50-7:00pm)
  • "Water Cooler"  Chit Chat- How to Maximize Workplace Communication (Presented at: 3:30-4:45pm & 7:10-8:20pm)
  • Civic Engagement- Finding Your Voice to Advocate in the Workplace (Presented at: 3:30-4:45pm & 7:10-8:20pm)
  • Making the Most of Your College Career (Presented at: 3:30-4:45pm & 7:10-8:20pm)
  • Keynote speaker from 1:10-1:50pm
  • Networking Reception from 5:00-5:45pm 

Speakers: There will be speakers on the workshop panels from:  Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, The Design Department, Computer Aid Inc., Enterprise Holdings, Summit Health, TTi, JLG, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania- State Civil Service Commission, Peace Corps, Federal Employment, Pennsylvania Senate, PA House of Representatives, Abraxas Youth & Family Services, WellSpan, Bucks County Elder Law, Fastenal, and many others!

 

When you arrive on the day of the event report to the Registration area in the Ceddia Union Building 1st floor, Room 102. 

 

To Register:  go to www.ship.edu/career and Click on "Pathways to Success" under "Upcoming Events". Be sure to include all of your information including your graduation year and your email address. Register by April 11th.

Provide communications support to development officers by creating materials including letters, proposals, white papers, message points, donor marketing materials, presentations, etc. Write and develop event materials. Provide all assistance with event planning and coordinating fundraising campaigns. The successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills and demonstrate a genuine appreciation for working with diverse audiences. Must be detail-oriented and respect confidentiality.
