Providing comprehensive coverage of Tennessee's literary news and events

Editor's Note
Some wonderful news came from Knoxville last week: Union Ave. Books is expanding. This beautiful bookshop, created by Flossie McNabb and Bunny Pressman, will take over the next-door space, enlarging the store to roughly 2,150 square feet. The expansion will allow for an even greater selection of books and will make it possible to hold a much larger audience during author events. And given the fantastic roster of authors the store has booked for later this fall, those extra chairs should fill up quickly. To read more about the expansion, click here. Humanities Tennessee founded  Chapter16.org in 2009 as a response to the loss of local book coverage in newspapers around the state. New stories--primarily book reviews, author interviews, and features--appear each weekday on the site. Humanities Tennessee relies on individual, corporate, foundation, and government support to continue providing comprehensive coverage of the state's literary news and events on  Chapter16.org.
