Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were happy and full of love and laughter! Are you making a  New Year Resolution this year? I don't necessarily believe in resolutions for myself, but I do think the new year is a great time to reflect on where we have been, where we are, and where we hope to be in another year's time. I'm looking forward to spending some time making my 2016 vision board and making goals for this new year. I'd love to hear what resolutions, goals, or new focuses you may be planning for yourself!

Speaking of new focuses and new beginnings.....

We have a new family member to introduce! Jada will be joining our family and our home in a few short weeks. She's excited to meet you all!

As we begin a new year, I am also beginning a new theme for my monthly E-newsletters. This year we'll be discussing the benefits, advantages and reasons for you to get a massage. Each month will highlight one of the 12 reasons I believe we all need a massage. So without further ado....
Reason #1 Why You Need A Massage..... You Deserve a Break!
The holiday season is emotionally draining and physically demanding, but you made it through what is both the best and the most stressful time of year! And now, you could use a break!
Let's face it, very few people take adequate care of
themselves. We take care of our jobs, our homes, our cars, our neighbors and friends, our pets and children and even our aging parents. But what do we do for ourselves? Caring for others can be demanding, so getting a massage is a terrific way to briefly step into another world and enjoy being taken care of. After your brief escape from reality, you'll be ready to get back to the everyday world of stress and strain because you have stepped outside temporarily to take a breather. And you'll be a better caregiver, parent, friend, employee after having a short escape from the hustle. Fill your cup first and you'll have more to share with others!
While self-pampering doesn't always lead to major improvements in overall health the same way healthy diet and exercise do, the relaxation you get from your one-hour-vacation-on-a-massage-table can trigger the body's relaxation response, which can help prevent chronic stress from damaging your health. Also, having a well-cared for body can make you feel good about yourself and your life, contributing to long term feelings of well being. Bottom line, taking a well deserved break (even just for an hour!) can help your body and soul.

Since we're talking about filling your cup, and it's cold outside....you gotta see this amazing  hot chocolate bar! Stock up on some of your favorite toppings and additions so you'll be ready on our next snow day! Or for the adult only party, check out these delicious ideas.
