Recital News 2016

Hi Everyone!

It is crazy how quickly the year is flying by!! We are only 10 weeks away from our recital "Broadway...Here We Come!" on Saturday May 28 at Stockbridge Theatre in Derry!! This Newsletter contains many important messages regarding that show as well as summer and fall information!! Our Recital Center on our new website is now available and will be updated as new information becomes available! We have just added the dress rehearsal schedule, Picture Day schedule as well as the recital handbook which explains everything in detail!! As always please be sure to ask any questions you may have!!!

Costume Pick Up Week Wednesday April 13-Tuesday April 19

Costume Balances have posted on accounts

Costumes are starting to make their way in!! It is getting very exciting for the dancers. We will begin costume pickup on Wednesday April 13-Tuesday April 19. Accounts must be current in order to take costumes home. Costumes must be picked up by a parent on the day of class as all costumes are organized by day. In most cases the costume will include tights and all you need to know about hair and shoes.

Please note: it is possible that some costumes will not be in by this date. In that case we will let you know when to expect them.

The pictures you see on our website are from the catalogs and shoes will be what we use in class. So, please do not buy new shoes or sneakers until you see the checklist!

Picture Days

Friday May 6 and Saturday May 7

On Friday May 6 and Saturday May 7 we will be holding our annual Picture Days at the studio. Dancers should arrive in costume 10 minutes prior to their class scheduled time. Note: if you are having trouble finding your dancers class please do not hesitate to ask! This scheduled time is for the group. You have the option to arrive early or stay after to get your dancer's individual or with sibling picture.

Ticket Sales ****NEW THIS YEAR***

ONLINE TICKET SALES

SUNDAY MAY 15-OPENING AT 12pm

We are excited to offer this service this year!!! No more lines early on a Sunday morning and the ordering site is phone friendly so no need to wait by your computer!! We will be sending a very detailed email as we get closer to May 15. You will be using this service to reserve your tickets. You will then pick up tickets at the studio the next time you are in!! There is a $.90 service fee per ticket charged by the company (when we tried this 6 years ago the was $1.75...we worked hard to find this deal!).

Recital Tshirts-due April 15

Dancers names appear on the back of these shirts. Be sure to check for names to be posted in the next few weeks so that you may verify spelling of your dancer's name. Be watching for a sample of the Tshirt!!

Calling All Class Moms-due April 15

Our show could not go on without the help of our class moms!! Please refer to the Recital Handbook for a detailed version of what is required. Those volunteering as a class mom will get $10 MHDC bucks to be used for summer or fall registration!! Please fill out form available on our website at the link below

Spirit Weeks at MHDC

As you are aware, our recital will take place on Saturday May 28, however we continue to dance until Saturday June 20. Below is our schedule of events for the weeks after recital!! Last year was our first time doing this and it was amazing!!

Monday May 30 we will be closed-therefore on May 23 our Monday classes will participate in Spirit week with crazy hair day!!

Tuesday May 31-Superhero Day

-come dressed as your favorite Superhero!!

Wednesday June 1-Wacky Wednesday

-come dressed as wacky as you wish!!

Thursday June 2-80's Day

-ask your parents for help with this!

Friday June 3-morning classes-Princess Day

-afternoon classes TBA

Saturday June 4-Princess and Prince Day

-dress as your favorite prince or princess

Week of June 6-11: Bring a Friend Week!!

Week of June 13-18: Try a new class/es week!! this was by far the favorite!! We will have a modified schedule of 1/2 classes. Dancers are invited to take as many as they choose!! Be watching for the schedule first week of April!

June 18 will be the last day of classes!!

Dedicated to making each party a unique experience, MDHC offers a variety of party themes, in addition to creating your own theme!
