Announcements for June 21, 2018

Bishop Guerry remembered this Sunday
William Alexander Guerry--bishop, reformer and martyr-- will be remembered on Sunday, June 24, throughout our diocese. Bishop Guerry died June 9, 1928, five days after being shot in his Charleston office by a priest who had attacked the bishop’s position on advancing racial equality in South Carolina.
Kanuga Countdown
The deadline to register for the Parish Retreat on Sept. 7-9 is still five weeks away (Aug. 1), but we're down to only 17 spaces remaining. Rev. Roy and the Rev. Patricia Turk have planned a relaxed but meaningful program for Friday evening and Saturday morning, and there'll be plenty of time for just hanging out. Click the green button below to get all the details.
Guess who'll be in church Sunday!
Jim Dannals, our former vicar, and his wife Carolyn are coming down off the mountain to pay us a visit at the 9 AM service. If you can't make it at 9, come between services around 10:15 and catch up with Jim and Carolyn during "Lemonade on the Lawn."

Get your FAQs straight
Chances are you'll be asked questions by friends or neighbors now that the church legal situation is in the news. Click on the FAQ button at the left for a clear and concise discussion by our diocese of how the next steps in the process will go forward, and what it all means for both loyal Episcopalians and members of churches that have disaffiliated.
