I am sending this email on behalf of Tim Vanbrackle ("Van") who is looking for non-paying extras (all ages) for a number of Orlando Miller Ale House training videos. The shoot will be on Friday, August 26, 2011 - from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. The shoot will be at Miller Ale House on International Drive (8963 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819). Van writes, "We need 40 persons for extras to fill a restaurant Friday morning August 26th. We are shooting training videos and need people to play customers that actors will be waiting on. Retired National TV Editor
Join us in hearing Gary's perspective on editing as a critical
and final interpretation of a production. His credits and editing
experience includes work on The Virginian, Run For Your Life,
Ironsides, Mary Tyler Moore Show, CBS/MOW, A Place To Call
Home, Kudzu, and the CBS series, The Twilight Zone. He was the
trailer editor on Hawaii 5-O, Lou Grant, White Shadow, Hill Street
Blues and The Lazarus Syndrome.
Gary is a former board member of the IATSE Film Editor's Guild
in Los Angeles, California and in the early 90's he was the editing
instructor at Valencia Community College in Orlando where some
of his former students went on to fame and fortune with The Blair
Witch Project.
Free to all Florida Independent Filmmakers (FIF) members and all

the world premiere of Satchmo at the Waldorf opening September 15th at The Mandell Theater at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. Satchmo at the Waldorf is a raw, uncensored look at beloved jazzman, Louis Armstrong, in a one-man tour de force starring Dennis Neal as Louis Armstrong and manager Joe Glaser. Set at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel where Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong publicly performed for the last time before his death in 1971, this original play by The Wall Street Journal drama critic, Terry Teachout, is inspired by their actual words and is directed by respected actor/director Rus Blackwell. Production design is by William Elliott.
Satchmo at the Waldorf takes a probing look at the complex relationship between the genius from New Orleans who turned jazz into a swinging art form and the hard-nosed, tough-talking ex-gangster from Chicago who made him an international icon. September 15th through October 2nd at The Mandell Theater at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center brings to you an evening illuminating the real Louis Armstrong, the man behind the smile.
