Local planning and zoning workshops

CARPC is partnering with the UW Stevens Point Center for Land Use Education, UW Extension, and the City of Middleton to hold a two-part workshop series about planning for local officials. Workshops will be held August 30 th and September 27 th from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Middleton Public Library. The workshops will help elected and appointed officials learn more about the tools and procedures used in local planning and zoning. The first workshop will focus on using and updating the comprehensive plan as a foundation for local use decision-making. The second workshop will focus on regulatory tools and procedures, including zoning and subdivision regulations. Local officials may choose to attend one or both workshops. Best of all, CARPC will cover the registration fee for the first 15 people who register online for the Comprehensive Planning workshop on August 30 th . Enhanced mobility grants available

Notice of Application Materials for Calendar Year 2019 Section 5310 Projects The Madison Area Transportation Planning Board, in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Metro Transit, is pleased to announce the availability of Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program funds for calendar year 2019. This program is funded in part by the Federal Transit Administration as authorized under 49 U.S.C. § 5310 (CFDA 20.521). Application materials are due August 17, 2018. Reminder: sign up for AGMV's Youth Incentive Program

Participating organizations or groups will compete for cash donations of up to $6,000 A Greater Madison Vision invites schools and nonprofits serving youth to participate in the Youth Incentive Program to win donations and make their voices heard. Groups participate by encouraging their supporters, members, program participants, and other interested individuals to take the A Greater Madison Vision survey between September 12 and November 12, 2018. A Greater Madison Vision will gather public input for the next regional development plan. This plan will help determine gr owth and development in the Greater Madison region through 2040.
