The Schoolhouse is her favorite event of the year! This year her schoolhouse will be on "Mastering The Machine Blanket Stitch With Raw Edge Appliqué". This will focus on how to get uniform, reproducible results using your machine's blanket stitch, including exercises to help identify and overcome those areas where you may have difficulty.
The Schoolhouse is on Thursday, June 22, 2014 at Westview Jr.-Sr. High School, a new location for the event. The cost for the entire day of schoolhouse sessions is $57.00, including lunch. Ruth has four different 30 minute sessions for this "technique-style" schoolhouse. This will allow you the ability to fit sessions of other interest around hers so that you can fill out your day to your pleasure. Some of the other Schoolhouse "teachers" are Ricky Tims, Rob Appell, Penny Haren, and Doug Leko. The Schoolhouse must be registered for by June 10, 2017. However, It is limited to 500 participants for various session topics. It always fills-up and is sold out in advance. You cannot register for it at the QuiltFest!
