Consisting of 488 acres of land 15 minutes from the world's busiest airport and 10 minutes to downtown Atlanta, Fort McPherson presents a tremendous opportunity for the City of Atlanta and the State of Georgia. In 2005 the Army's Base Realignment and Closure Commission voted to close Fort McPherson.  The Fort is now under the direction of the McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority (MILRA) and recently selected development partners Forest City, Cousins Properties and the Integral Group.
