Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Training

The Immigration Strategic Funders Collaborative of Connecticut   invites volunteers or staff of nonprofit organizations who wish to apply for BIA accreditation and provide immigration legal services.

Monday, May 23rd, 9:00 am - 6:30 pm thru
Friday, May 27th, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (a five-day training)

This training requires full participation for the five days, along with nightly homework and a take home exam. Participants must complete all homework assignments, and pass the exam in order to receive a training certificate from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC). Individuals who receive a training certificate must be working for a BIA recognized nonprofit.
Deadline to register is Thursday, April 28th. This Federally recognized accreditation training is limited to 20 individuals committed to supporting immigrants at a nonprofit with BIA recognition. (We can connect you to a nonprofit, if you are not already linked.)
