Race to Lead: Confronting the Nonprofit Racial Leadership Gap
Thomas-Breitfeld and Kunreuther will present key findings of the Nonprofits, Leadership and Race Survey:
- Analysis of survey respondents’ current nonprofit positions, personal and professional backgrounds, views on leadership, interest in leading a nonprofit, training and supports needed, and more;
- Challenges to how the nonprofit sector has approached the racial leadership gap;
- Strategies for transferring responsibility for bridging the racial leadership gap from aspiring leaders of color to those setting the norms and hiring practices of the nonprofit sector.
